Tour de Chaplain - 2025
Hiya faithful bikers!
We're very excited for this year's event, to be held on Saturday 16th August 2025 back in the beautiful Boyne Valley Rail Trail. Get your mountain bike ready as we prepare to ride the tracks and enjoy its historic tunnels. This is all off-road and a family friendly ride.
The virtual component will of course still be available, so those keen to participate in their own way, go for it!

...and now for something completely different! We'll be riding a 23km trip from Barrimoon rail siding, through the Boyne Valley Historic tunnels downhill to the finishing line at the Many Peaks Grand Hotel.

Lunch, prizes and trophy presentation will be held at the Grand Hotel after ride completion.

Simply head to our registration page via the link and spread the word by posting the link to your Facebook page and see the support grow!
Don't forget to download the Strava app and pick your club (cycling, running, etc)

For the Fundraisers - Fundraising closes 15th August at 5pm, which will then be eligible for individual and team trophies and prizes. So get your crew together for a fun morning out!

This is the 2025 route. The ride begins at the Barrimoon rail siding @ 8.30am; riding downhill through the tunnels, lookouts and scenery with the Golembil camp site is approx. halfway.
Continuing onto Many Peaks, finishing at the Grand Hotel for a total of 23kms.
This map indicates the driving route to Barrimoon rail siding for beginning of the ride. For those who wish to catch the shuttle bus, park at Many Peaks Grand Hotel and you and your bike will be transported to Barrimoon.
